JACK E. GEREN, JR. (aka "Hammer")
Jack Geren, Jr. is the owner and chief investigator for, JACK GEREN, PI, a Private Investigation Agency located in Beaufort, South Carolina. This Private Investigation Firm / Private Investigation Company has been owned and operated by Jack Geren, Jr. since June of 1991.
Jack enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968. During his military service, he was trained as a closed microphone court reporter and graduated from U.S. Naval Justice School, in Newport, Rhode Island, in July of 1969. From here he received orders WesPac and spent thirteen months in the Far East and in Viet Nam. He came back to the states in October of 1970 and spent the rest of his enlistment as a legal chief and chief court reporter at the Marine Corps Air Station and Parris Island, South Carolina. Jack was honorably discharged in January of 1973 as a Sergeant. He left his active duty to pursue a career in the legal investigative field.
Jack started working part time for a local law firm in October of 1972. After his honorable discharge in 1973 he began working full time as an Investigator. The senior member of this law firm was elected Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina. Here he worked many investigations involving personal injury cases for the plaintiff and numerous criminal defense cases. During his tenure at this law firm he went to Atlanta, Georgia and attended/ graduated from the Crawford & Company Basic School of Adjusting. Jack also attended Palmer College out of Charleston pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. In December of 1976 Jack left this law firm and was hired as chief investigator for the Beaufort County Public Defender’s office.
He worked over two thousand cases in his three year tenure at the Public Defender’s office. In January of 1980 Jack went to work for the Moss Law Firm, which handled mostly plaintiff's cases and many criminal defense cases. Jack worked for this law firm for twelve years as their chief investigator. During this time he investigated and participated in many cases and trials. He continued college in the criminal justice curriculum and has almost 15 years of formal education. He has testified in most every state and federal court, except for the United States Supreme Court. Jack left the Moss Law Firm after twelve years. He then opened his private investigative agency in June of 1991 and continues to date.
Jack is an active member of the private investigation industry. He is a member in good standing with the South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators.
He was a charter member of the South Carolina Association of Private Investigators and its president for five years. During the year of 2000, the South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators awarded Jack Geren, Jr. the prestigious achievement of "Investigator of the Year".
Jack Geren, Jr., has been active in the investigative field for almost forty years and currently holds positions on the SCALI Ethics Committee and SLED advisory boards for Private Investigators.
JACK E. GEREN, III (aka "Stryker")
Jack E. Geren, III, is a skilled 2nd degree Black Belt in the art of Chun Kuk Do, a Black Belt in ZanShinDo and holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jack began his martial arts training in 1990 studying Chun Kuk Do at Club Karate under the instruction of Master Chuck Elias (currently a 7th degree Black Belt). In January of 2005, Jack expanded his training regimen and began training at Beaufort Martial Arts Academy, a submission fighting school that teaches ZanShinDo. He has studied many styles over the years broadening his knowledge of the martial arts and learning many methods of self defense. His discipline and training methods are the key ingredients to the success of his martial arts expertise and why he has become the person he is today. Jack strives to be the best, all of the time, and always puts forth 100 percent of his effort in anything he does. This determination is not only displayed in his martial arts training, but also in the field of Private Investigation.

Jack E. Geren, III, a SLED ( South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) registered Private Investigator, began working for JACK GEREN, PI, in August of 2002. Jack has six years of investigative experience and has graduated from the Global School of Investigation. Jack, a SCALI ( South Carolina Association of Legal Investigators) member, also has an extensive background in computer science technology and data / information retrieval. He specializes in computer & cellular forensics, locating hard-to-find individuals, and is highly trained in covert surveillance. His knowledge, versatility & persistence are an important ingredient to the success and reputation of JACK GEREN, PI. He is also highly trained at uncovering people’s background history and finding hidden assets.
Jack continues to train in many areas of the industry and wants expand his knowledge in the Private Investigative field. His ethics & standards contribute to the expertise and integrity of this private investigative operation.
